PPE and Site Safety Policy

Our expectations for protective equipment and safe conduct on strip-out sites.

Last updated: 2 October 2026.

Strip-out and site clearance can involve dust, sharp materials, moving equipment and other site hazards. RMB Stripouts LTD expects everyone working on its activities to follow the site rules, risk assessments and safe working arrangements that apply to their task.

Assessing and controlling risk

The need for personal protective equipment (PPE) is determined by the risk assessment after other practical controls have been considered. Each subcontractor is responsible for suitable PPE for the people it employs or engages where the law places that duty on it. Where RMB Stripouts LTD is legally responsible for providing PPE, we will provide suitable required equipment without charge and explain its use, fit, care and limits. Requirements vary by task and site.

On site

  • Attend and follow the site induction and instructions relevant to your work.
  • Wear and use the PPE and any respiratory protection specified for the task and check it before use.
  • Do not alter or misuse protective equipment. Report missing, damaged or unsuitable equipment promptly.
  • Report hazards, near misses and unsafe conditions, and stop work and seek direction if a task cannot be carried out safely.

Supervisors should check that the controls and equipment required for the work are available and used correctly. Safety concerns can be raised through the site supervisor or the contact details below.
